Here’s a fantastic viewing excursions in the central coast of British Columbia, known as the Great Bear Rainforest. This area is indeed one of the best places in the world to observe grizzly bears and other wildlife such as wolves, black bears, otters, bald eagles, wild salmons, etc. You will stay in a remotely located charming floating lodge whose stays are limited to a maximum of 10 guests to ensure a personalized experience. Your hosts will prepare wilderness-gourmet meals using the best local seafood.
Day 1 to 3 – Port Hardy / Nekite Valley / Port Hardy
On day 1, you will leave behind the noise of modern life for a pristine wilderness. Transportation is either by seaplane flight or whale watching boat. Journeying to the lodge is a spectacular adventure in itself, traveling through the home of orca, gray and humpback whales! Please note that we always have two viewing sessions per day (accompanied by an experienced wildlife biologist). We have a range of different viewing sites and we will choose one according to where the bears have been most active. The sites have been constructed with the photographer in mind, and are optimal and comfortable places from which to view bears. There is nothing like seeing your first grizzly emerge from the forest! In the evenings, you can assist to the presentations made by our biologist. You can also choose from a guided boat cruise, a sea kayaking or a hiking in the rain forest activity during your stay.
